Why the hell wont my car boost!?!?!
Ok i am tired of this ****. My car only boost to no more than 5! I have the profec e-01. I have it on auto mode trying to program it. It says make a full throttle third gear run or 4th. I do it and my car only goes up to 4.5 and thats it. I opened the waste gate running no control and it gets up to 10 easily. Can anyone please help me or any suggestions?

Do you have the warning feature on? When I was first trying to program my E0-1 I had the warning feature on and set to 5 psi. There's a place where you tell the E0-1 what percentage to reduce boost by if the warning limit is reached. Mine was set to 100% so it wouldn't let me boost past 5 psi. You can leave the warning feature on so the LED and Alarm come on when you reach your desired boost level but just make the boost reduction 0%. Hope this helps.

Set 'Start Boost' to 5.2 psi (2.8 psi less than desired boost). You are going to have to mess with the 'Gain'. If it's higher, you are more prone to have a boost spike. 15 might be a good place to start, but I'm not sure. The thing will probably take you numerous runs to get dialed-in. I'm always reprogramming mine to try and get the best response with no boost spikes (at least when I can find a deserted road, the freeway seems to be a bad spot).

Don't get stressed out. It's probably just something little you're overlooking. Set it on High or Low. Maybe try shifting into 3rd gear very very early so you are at a really low rpm when you start your full throttle run.

low and high are for different boost levels, just FYI. Im not sure if you understood that from a post a couple ago^^.
But it should let you adjust boost spike, or smoothen it out as you shift. You should turn up the boost on the controller, and mess with the overboost protection (turn it down). If you want to drive out to me, I can check it out for ya, and probably get ya boosting more. THan you can check out my busted ride, haha. Did you adjust the jumper settings on the back of it?? You have to make sure they are set correct to get anything out of it. There are settings for internal/external wastegate, electronic pop off, etc. That stopped my profec-b from working, til I noticed that, lol.
Let me know if you want some help, you could cruise down this weekend. (since my car isnt running)
Peace

do you know what the jumpers look like on a hard drive? for setting them up for master, slave or cable select?? its sort of the same type thing. Read the instructions about setting jumpers, chances are you have to adjust them to work with your wastegate. Its on the back of the display/control part of the unit. Look back there and see if there are about 4 things that can be moved up or down? if so, you need to adjust those for the right settings. The instruction manual should tell you how you need to set them. Good luck!

I was thinking it may be, since its not a manual one like mine. I would make sure you have the right settings in there. Did you read the instruction manual yet?? let me know if you need help (although Im a couple hours away) Maybe I could meet you in Mesa or something. thats a lot closer than my house.
