hmm a little over a 50hp gain? maybe how much tuning do you have now and what are you gonna use to tune it. it's very possible. i say after about 10 hours of dyno time you might.

well i can most likely get 40+hp gain with a set of ips cams and about 15-20 with itb's
considering i have already 218.3 hp and 185.5 tq tunned with kpro.
when i got my full dyno tune it only took 1.5 hours.

jrsc from Si will fit i hear. i was gonna go that route before the inexpensive type r route called my name.
those itb's are quite sexy. but for that $ i'd go boost. (IPS cams = 1k+, ITB's = 1.5k+)
EDIT: but if it's that close in an RSX.... the civic might not be a go. still

Can the engine do it? Probably. Can your transmission do it? Thats probably the question. How bulletproof is it?
A lot of people seem to be rethinking the A2 headswap on K24s because of the bore difference. If I were you, I'd definitely be careful building power at high RPMs... with that long of a stroke, you start getting up in 8K land with lots of power and you may make the bottom end a little unstable. I don't know if you can gain that much at the wheels with just a set of cams, but who knows.... there seems to be lots to unlock in these K motors.
I would definitely make sure you got all the cards in order and make sure the motor isn't a timebomb before going nuts on it.

with this motor, the idea is to make torque, lots of it, and thats what i have accomplished at such a low rpm, with out a turbo. and remember hp is just a # derived from torque, so if i can make more torque, i will make more power. i don't necessarly need to rev to 8k+ to acheive what power i wanna make.
