A3 and six speed?

I'm wanting to save money on my swap, so I'm putting a K20A3 in, would it be worth it to put in the six speed with this motor, and will I be able to eventually upgrade it to A2 or A status doing a head swap?

I think there are problems with the reverse lock-out cylinder with the a3's (ie. trying to shift to 6th and having it lock up) ... not sure... search on ephatch.com ?

yes, you can swap an a2 or a head. facts show that the a2 head does not improve 1/4 mile times though. probably has to do with the fact that the a3 block has much lower compression/revvability

if your going to spend the money for a k20a3, why not just save a little more money, and get the a2 that already comes with a 6 speed?
