Based on the difference in looks between the NOS and the NX solenoids, plus from what I've heard and learned, I seriously doubt that the solenoids are manufactured by the same company. Both solenoids are gonna flow differently and both NOS and NX suggest certain sized jets to reach the "shot" rating based on their own solenoids, not someone elses which is why it is not a good idea to mix-match different brand nitrous kit parts. You mix up the parts and you're gonna be more likely to run into a/f problems and possibly causing engine damage as a result.
eh, on the fuel side arguable, but I think it'd be less important on the nitrrous side as despite solenoid flow, until you're in the upper reaches of the solenoid itself, the delivery will be based on pressure through a pill with significant step down from the -2 fogger lines. Even most basic kits flow well enough through the solenoids to support 150+ worth.
I do however agree that mix and match is not necessarily the best setup, but at the tolerences of a stock d17 I'd think the differences would be far less important as long as you stick to the manufacture's reccomended sizing per solenoid.

^^ok then I agree, you MIGHT be able to get away with using mix match solenoids, but when it comes down to the injection nozzle (fogger) I think its definitely imperative that you must use the right jets with the right nozzle. Meaning if you use an NX nozzle, you better be using NX nitrous jets with correct numbers instead of using an NOS nozzle with NX jetting of various sizes and/or vice versa or even mix-match jets (meaning NOS for fuel and NX for nitrous). Me personally would never use a custom nitrous kit comprised of mix match brand parts because of the possible complications and repercussions involved unless you're just talking about a switch or a bottle heater of course, but thats just me.
