does anyone know or tried using a slim line fan on our cars? I could use the extra room in the engine bay for the IC piping.

FAL part number 190, with a letter on the end for color, i.e. 190B for blue. Two will fit, have to do very minor trimming. Flows 10x more air than stock.

You use the plug from your old fan. Cut it off, use a solder or crimp connection on the two wires, then plug it in like the stock fan. ECU controlled.

Then don't, use a crimp connection. For something like this that isn't a sensor, it will work perfectly.

I wonder if you could use the FAL dual fan for the Integra. What exactly did you trim to make those Focus fans fit?

On one fan, nothing. On the fan mounted on the passenger side, I had to trim a rectangle 2" long by .75" deep in the edge of the plastic shroud to fit the bottom coolant hose to the motor. I mounted it with a combination of the radiator zip ties designed to mount fans and two screws on each screwed right through the plastic shroud.

The trimming took less than 5 minutes with a Dremel, and doesn't affect the fan's function at all.

As for fitting another fan, just measure it. Fans are fans, and most FAL's flow the same and use the same motor. The only difference is the shroud size. I used Focus fans because that is what we had in stock at the shop, I'm sure there are many others that would work.

Ahhhh, I see. It was all due to availability. I think I am going to buy the dual fan for the Integra and adapt that. Thanks for the info.
