Ok well I recently blew my motor and I am looking into buying a k20 motor out of the SI, which I think is the k20a3, will the RSX tranny hook up to that, b/c I know the shifter is in a weird place, in the dash, so let me know and also, don't the RSX-S motor and SI motor bolt up the same? What all is needed to complete the swap for the k20a3 if that is the SI motor.

May I ask how come your going with the SI motor, instead of saving up a couple more grand and getting the Type-S motor?

....shouldnt you be more concerned with just getting a motor?

N if your planning on boost, the K20A2 (rsx-s) motor is the way to go..You'll pull so much harder than with the Si.

I can't afford the RSX-S motor...That is why I am getting the SI motor...Anything is better than my d17...all of y'all know that

Power wise this is true...but none can repute on the d17's majestic gas mileage!!

k20a3's are alright ... if you plan on going f/i ... go with a turbo, not sc ... sc's on the a3 don't give much power

not to be rude, but to quote the local porsche shop 'do you want to go fast, or do you want to suck'

If you're going through all the trouble, pain and time to swap a motor into your car, why not do it right the first time and save up for the better engine ? ?

But it's not my car, as I know I wouldn't be taking a shortcut like you...i'd do it right...RSX S engine+RSX S tranny...

And do you really need the engine 'right away'....??

Don't forget I have no job, I am paying for this myself, I am at school fulltime, I don't pay for gas anyways...I have a gas card given to me by mom my for christmas when I started driving and she pays that...I am sold my Panasonic in-dash to pay for this, and I am also selling my system...
