Your car may have weighed 2675 stock(EX I'm assuming), but mine was 2450(DX/VP). Now many people have asked me were did I lose the weight and if they only took the time to read my profile they would find a link that lists everything in detail. I guess I need to make it a little clearer. Sorry.I'm 400-500lbs lighter than most EX's on here. That's a 1/2 sec in the quarter alone. Not to mention the more power I add the greater the results will be compared to that of a car that weighs 500lbs more given an equal increase in hp. More with less is my theory. The lighter the car the less power to make it faster and hopefully less overall wear and tear. No hard feelings though. I just seem to get a lot of negetive attention on this site so I'm used to it. Now lets get back on topic.

ok, so from that though, i see the weight diff but the DX, non-vtec has roughly a 20 HP defeceit to begin with against the slightly heavier EX, but how are you putting down the way faster time than the EX with the DX motor? i mean weight makes a diff but not .6 seconds... i mean from what i understand the fastest allmotor 7thgen EX has gone 15.7
I do see ur point though that you have a slight weight advantage off the top and less weight with the same "HP" mods is gonna definitely be faster just wondering if you've done the EX head swap to help ya get the faster 1/4 allmotor time

it's only a 12 hp difference, stock for stock. Before my crank pulley and new tires I ran 15.711@88. I attribute the crank pulley and tires to my most rescent times. I just wish I had another chance to get out there and hit some 14's before I left. Oh well. I also plan to buy a set of 14x6.5 VolksCE28n's to run up front. They only weigh around 7lbs a piece. I may get some slicks for them too, but I'm not sure if the drivetrain will hold up, especially when I decide to step up to the 75shot. I'd also like to get rid of another 200lbs. It's gonna take some time and money though. Carbon fiber and other lightweight parts are not cheap. Might ditch the AC, but it's hotter than hell in the summer time. It's all a step by step process for me and having fun. Nothing is going to happen over night, but that's what makes it fun. The challenge of making a claimed slow car run respectable times. I ran 17's bone stock. I set a goal for myself to work this car step by step into the 12's. I'm about half way there in less than 6 months. So I'm just gonna keep pushing until I reach the end of my quest and hopefully help and learn from others along the way.
