K20A2 Engine Swap

I am gettin ready to do a K20A2 engine swap on my '04 LX. My whip doesn't have ABS...will this be a problem when I use Type S axles, hubs, etc.? Ultimately, I don't want ABS.

For all those of you out there who have done the K20A2 swap, can you please tell me what RSX suspension and brakes components you used (if any). I need to know what Civic components I can retain when doing the engine swap. Thanks in advance for your replies!

dude.. for a complete swap you dont even have to worry about ANY brake or suspension components... all you gotta use is the 2002 si axles.... who cares about 4 lug cause it has nothing to do with that... now if and only IF you want to use the rsx axles you have to use the hub and knuckes

in one of your suspension posts i already tried to explain this same thing... like i also said in your other post is that hasport.com has a complete step by step guide on doing the swap for our cars... its pretty much plug and play for a k20 in our cars and so forth

I understand this...I have gone to their website and saw that information. I just need to decide whether I want four or five lugs. If I want five lugs, I believe I will need RSX suspension and brake components. This is all I am trying to get confirmation on.

you should have stated that you wanted a 5 lug setup in your first post instead of asking about you needing rsx suspension and brake parts to do the swap

Ok...I am not trying to start an argument here. I have been asking several questions in several different threads. In one of those threads, if not this one, I stated that I would like to end up with 5 lugz after the engine swap. My understand is that if I want to use the RSX hubz...and ultimately end up with 5 lugz...then I need to use the majority (if not all) of the RSX suspension and/or brake components.

My concern is that if I use the RSX hubs...or any other hubs that will result in me having 5 lugz...is that the aftermarket parts that I already have for my car (i.e., coilovers, sway bars, x-brace, etc.) will not be compatible with RSX components.

I am simply trying to get a definative answer as to whether I can continue to use these Civic parts if I end up using RSX axles, hubs, brake components, etc.

Just stick with four lug. Use the 2002 si axels and you can keep everything the same. If power is an issue then use upgraded axels from ENJO or drive shaft shop .com and get upgraded axels for a 2002 si that are good for 500 to 1000 hp. You do not need 5 lug for any reason except if you just want to have them. As far as four lugs holding the power, yes, they will hold more than you will ever make, Trust me. If you get axels from an si that 2003 or newer they are 5 lug so be carfull what you get.

what i am saying is if he wants to keep 4-lug nut and not worry about gettin the rsx hubs and knuckles then he can just get the si axles and make it easier

Thanks for the info! Besides 5 lug hubs being able to hold more power, I figure there are more aftermarket possibilities with 5 lug rims. That being said, I will probably stick to the 4 lug and keep it simple.
