For all you FI people who don't want crazy gauges everywhere, heres another option. I've had it in my car for a while, but just now thought I'd post it. To bad I'm selling everything to buy a Type-S lol

LOL, well it's actually 2 seperate things. The screen is a dvd/cd/mp3/touchscreen 6.5 inch all in one, the gauges are from a hacked up HKS CAMP unit. It shows right now on my car just my speed in kilometers and my injector percentage opening (for all those that know how vital this is so you dont max them out when doing a/f stuff). It'll show you boost, oil temp, water temp, exhuast temp, your voltage readings, itll graph them out for you across the power band and all, itll show you the friction graph (calculating horsepower) and stuff. I say it's a hacked one ebcause I had to have it shippied from Japan and then rewired to work with our car, since it's really only made for high end cars outta the factory, like rx7's evo 7's and 8's.. you ge the idea. It also has alarms on it which will flash and give you an audible warning if you screw something up lol... yea it's my baby... I think I'm the only 7th gen Civic in the U.S. with it (mabye even da world LOLOLOLOLOL... but prob not... =) it keeps my friends occupied and the girlies like it. I get lots of looks from people next to me at stoplights lol. Good thing I'm not a ricer tohugh cuz i'd get burned since mines auto lol.. it's mainly for show because I've scrapped my plans

Well its actually a hasel to sell it cuz I'll have to recut some stuff, so I'mn leaving the brain in the car adn only selling the screen. The RSX is getting the cd player area taken out and fiberglasing a touchscreen montior in there so it looks like stock and looks like i bought it like that... it's getting the full camp unit, navigation, and ps2 hooked up to it lol. I hated to post this up because now my thing that people have usually never seen before will probably get used more.. but who knows since they are hard to come buy and are not manufactured anymore =)

Yeah man, and how much was the install, I mean Ido all my own work, but that looks a tad more complicated than a regular faceplate install or a gauge install.

LOL, thx guys. I didn't do the work myself, because I'm no airplane engineer lol. I took it to an Audio shop I know and had them install the screen, then I got together with some of the guy and we hooked the rain that runs all the diagnostics up to the screen, after that we called HKS USA to get some more info on the 7thgen since the CAMP unit isn't made for it. They hacked up the CAMP harness and spidered it into the ecu and some of the sensor (injector harness and stuff). It cost me a couple hundred buckaroos to get it done, but the guys at the shop thought it was pretty damn sweet. Like stated above I'm saving for an RSX, right at this point I have anough to buy Dezods turbo kit (since I'm auto lol)... which would be cool just to have boost... I'm so confused.. but alas I'm doing th same thing to the RSx if I get it. If you all need any help with doing what I did hit me up with PM's and whateva =)

^^Amen brother, but man o man is it worth it... lol I got ppl with 350z's and such freaked out, they think i'm running like fricking t60 turbo or thousand shot under the hood LOL.. it's sent ppl running.. which is why I jsut cant decide to boost or go with the type-s lol

so u got this thing hooked to the d17 ecu, and u want to swap and do it all over again to the k20 ecu, of which u should get a k pro, hell are u wanting to mess with wires the rest of ur life

So if it shows speed(im in Aus so kms is great) can it do rpms?? If so, why couldnt you make a new face plate up and have it mounted in your dash where your gauges are now?? That would look badass. Not sayin it doesnt now lol, but yeah.

Yeah well type-s + boost = about 15000 for me... since I'd have to save up about 8 thou for the car after I sell my civ... then gotta do a lil ice system I had in mind then boost..... I don't know I'm seriosuly considering just boosting my civic for now.... unitl I leave college.... <I> I </I> Didn't really do anything to my car, heh. I took it into a shop, and we all sat down while one of their guys called up hKS USA to try to figure it out, since this is a straight import deal and everything (I eman EVERYTHING even the damn box lol) is in Jap. They got it straight and wired out my car, took them about 3-4 hours... lol they like me and my ideas I have for cars so they did my car infront of line of a double R lol. We had to decide were to put the sensor eye and all... mines where the foglight switch would be.... The features are pretty cool, you can opt to have 2 analog gauges (shown on mine) simultaniously, like RPM's and boost gauge or water temp and oil temp or whatever lol. It'll do any gauges that you can normally buy a gauge for.. except A/F.. but it does show you how much of a % your using your injectors so you dont max them out. You can set audible and visual warnings for anything, such as RPM's (when to shift) temp's getinng to high, boost spikes, whatever you want. It'll graph all information for you, just as how much fuel your using or what differnt emps are at diff rpms and such. It changes colors to anytihng you want.. (my ex loved that lol.. womwn =P) I have mine setup to look just like my stock gauges in my 02. It also has a funny fish aquarium game where if you drive all crazy itll kill your fish, and everyime you change your oil itll reset the water level lol. It's crazy, and I get lots of compliments... I.. just.. can't decide.. if I should just boost the civic... lol... I really don't race much (except for like 40 mph rolls against stupid ppl lol) so I think a boosted civic would be a nice addition.... thx for the props guys, adn I'd like some input on my dillema.. btw Hav thx lol
