k20a2 at acura?
Since u never know what condition a used k20a2 or k20a mtr u buy from the internet or junkyard is in wouldnt it be smart to just go to any acura delarship and buy a new type-s mtr from them. I heard from other sites that they sell them? Is this true? And would it come with a tranny too?
yea u could.. but expect to pay high *** prices for em..... its like an oil change.. would you go to Midas and get an oil change from them for 9.99 or go to a dealership and get the same oil change for 29.99

you honestly want to know how much a new type s motor would be from acura? Well let me put it to you like this, autozone can get them for $8000 brand new, so expect to be paying over $10,000 from the dealer on a new type s engine. That isnt bullshit either, dealers arent cheap when it comes to any part.
In a way it is smart because it will be brand new, but it would be rediculious to pay that amount for an engine. Might as well buy a rsx if you want to spend that kind of money.

I always hear the term, "Hybrid". What does this mean? And im thinking buying a new engine would be the way to go, bc u find some in yards for like 5-6K with like 30K++ miles on it, and u dont no what u really getting.

I think a brand new k20a2 with tranny runs for $13000 + tax and other fees...i saw it in a magazine. forgot which one, but they had a brand new k20a2 turboed in a sedan. But why would you want to buy a new one when you can get a used for half the price, also why would you even spend that much money on a civic when you can get an s2k or something better...

^^I bet you I could definitely get it to hit low 13's if not 12's with a simple 75 shot
Plus, a RELIABLE, daily driven, mid 14 second civic is nothing to complain about IMO. i have a friend running an k20a2 with basic boltons i/h/e and kpro and running high 13's.. i got a friend who has a 98 civic with a b20 fully built tuned pushing 189hp and is running mid 12's
