Rep Power: 282 There is only one reason to show a product at SEMA. To issue its plans for production. It costs money to show at SEMA. So you pay the money to garner interest in your product.
Many things are not street legal. Many states do not have the same restrictions as California. I live where there are no restrictions.
I could easily put a older engine in my car. I like the K series. But they are expensive and they spin the wrong way. A B series should fit. As the D16 is the relative same size as the D17. Yes, they are older technology, but there exists a lot of stuff for them.

Rep Power: 583 i still don't know why ppl would wanna swap a B series engine when the K series is so much a better motor. Grant you, we haven't seen huge HP from them yet like compared to the B series........but give it time.

Rep Power: 379 can people tell me why people with older cars like 90-00 are putting a k series in their car?
because its a way better engine than a b series
in the long run it will be cheaper and better with the glut of products for the k series engine. and people are currently driving around 700 hp daily driven turbos. it is currently alot easier and better to turbo a k series engine and be able to extract more HP

Rep Power: 288 Few things to remember - the gauges, AC, and other controls rely on the multiplex bus for the 2001+ series cars. If you swap in a B series into the 2001+ civic (regardless if it came from a 2001 car), you are still going to need the ECU, which is incompatible with this. NONE of your gauges and controls will work, unless either Hondata comes up with something, or Hasport has figured it out (which I doubt).....
So - that means this will probably NOT be a daily driven car...

You won't be saying that when you have a complete wiring mess inside and outside the car....

Rep Power: 0 i see thier point. b series are way better than k's other than in perfomance. why u ask?
cheaper-by alot.
more parts for them- that are cheap!
tested, tried & proven.
not everyone needs 300whp on their civic for daily driving. 200-250 whp around here pwns.

Rep Power: 273 this car could be found in the aem booth
rear view
front view
upon further interviews with the aem directors and guys from hasprot.. who by the way was show casing a crx with a k20 swap.. basically they were pushing there k20 mounts... anyways they used the aem car as a prototype to help get info about what needs to be done to make the b18 mounts... imma talk with the hasport guys for more interviewing cause i got one scheduled for tomorrow
