home install of TSI turbo kit

anyone installed or heard of at home install for the TSI kit? i want the kit but dont know if i have the time and or esp money to have it installed by a shop. what are your thoughts on doing it myself. i have some experience with cars, and my dad and brother build and race mustangs. i know that they are a totally different breed of car but do you think that having a large amount of overall auto knowledge is enough to successfully install the kit? thanks for the feedback!

i installed my kit with no help, no previous experience, and not the slightest idea of what to do or where to start.

I have the sf kit, but a turbo kit is a turbo kit. Not a big difference. It was hard, i'll admit, but I learned a lot about my car -- so it was all worth it.

do you think that i could use the DIY for a quasi custom job? i am thinking about buying a kit from a member and his is a custom kit. not many reliable shops around so i am trying hard to find a solution to home installation.

the parts are plug and play my friend. IF you know where all the pieces go, then the kit will go on fine.
