All I got outta that is you want to ask your mama for money..
It has been done by mirage.. pm him if you want.. a search would have found ALOT of information on this topic..
Also it's illegal, so you know.
From those bolt-on's you are roughly looking at 10 - 15 horsepower at most.

hasport doenst make a b series swap kit for our civics and i dont think they would.
i think you should just keep the lousy d17 and stick with it if your having financial problems.
bolts ons on our d17 isnt too great. with intake/header/exhaust thats 2-6hp if your lucky. cams and pullies would do more i believe but not much.
i suggest keeping the orginal block and start building up savings if u really want something faster. investing your money into performances parts on a d17 is not worth it unless your going the turbo route.
First everyone will tell you swapping an older engine is illegal.
Then they will say if you want to do it it'll require a lot of money and custom work and not be worth it performance-wise.
Then they'll say why bother anyways since theres K series engines around now.
Then they'll tell you to search.

so if the swap is illegal, how are you going to get caught for it? i always wondered that. Is a cop gonna pull you over, pop open your hood and say "excuse me son this is a b series engine, im taking you downtown!"?

idk if they do it in your state but im some they make you pop the hood in order to get an inspection sticker. if a cop sees that he is gonna want to know why
the 2001 integra has a b series motor, the type R is like b18c5, i think. it would be nice to get that, i live in louisiana, so they dont check emissions plus i have a 2001, so it would be legal anyway.

If you don't want to do a K, do an H like an H22a or H23a form Japan, they put down 200-220 at the crank. No one makes motor mount kits for a H in a 7th gen, but people have put B's in there must be a way to put a H in. An H should fit I have a friend with a H23 in a little 5th gen hatch. What would you rather have a 160hp b16 or a 220hp H23. This is if you don't have to look out for emissions in your state. Keep in mind a K will slide right (almost) in (in Malaysia I even comes in 7thgen sedans http://www.hondakal.com/civic_design.htm ) an H or a B will take some customizing.

Also, I prefer you not say it's for "some desert ****"
, it's a Bonneville Salt Flats racecar and currently holds three honest to god, verifiable, sanctioned, world speed records.
