i sprayed mine with that 1500F spray paint and it turned black and now the paint is gone on one spot where the piping bends... 
get it ceramic coated... atleast it will stay there for a long time...

Rep Power: 0 If you look at the first post, it seems that after he sanded the manifold you cant see the welds anymore. I guess this is a good thing if the welds looked shitty but will it weaken the manifold in any way?
