rsx swap cost
k20 swaps are not cheap for out cars ... the prices go as follows:
engine
k20a3 - ~1500-2000
k20a2 - 3000-4000
k20a - 4500-5500
then you need:
02/03 Si axles (4 lug) - ~200 (?)
Mounts - ~$500
labor - (?)$ ... probably 500-800
so you're lookin anywhere from 4000-8000
or you could go turbo for ~4000 .. ;P

rev-limiters don't work if you downshift into the wrong gear say 5th to 2nd instead of 4th at 6k. Thats how people with RSX's are blowing their motors.
And yes you can turbo charge a k20a3 in a Civic

im always so confused. Which cars are the K20's pulled from?(i know they are rsx and si and type r) but which engine code goes to each? and what is needed for the Si swap? do you need the subframe to mount it to?

I was wondering if was worth to swap a K20A3 into my car if given the opportunity.
Its much cheaper than a k20a2, is it possible to later upgrade the engine to perform like a k20a2?

K20A - ITR
K20A2 - RSX Type S
K20A3 - Civic SI/Base RSX
With any of the K-series motors you will need the following.
Motor
Tranny
ECU
Subframe
Hasports Mount Kit
HA Wiring Harness
SI 4 lug axels
SI Radiator and hoses
RSX PS reservoir and line(If PS is wanted)
Custom Clutchline
Custom AC Lines
And that should be it. Might be a couple of small things that you would need to go with it. But over all that the main things.

Anybody get discounts on their engine? I can get an engine for wholesale from anywhere, but I havent called around yet. Just curious of what a wholesale engine/parts would run?

An A2 head and ECU on a A3 Block at 8,000 rpms is pushing it. The stock A3 block will hold it, but not sure for how long. If you add Hondata to the A2 ECU and raise it to 8600, say good bye to your block.
