My intake ports were smooth when I got it back. I know that's wrong, but I haven't noticed any problems really, except rough idle. Maybe that's why?

I have smooth intake ports too, but I was wondering - I have a dremel, and some time....I could roughen up the intake side myself a bit, but I don't have any idea how much to roughen it up! Anyone have some pics of a rough one, or some solid advice on how to execute this operation?

I wouldn't touch the ports if I were you... You might end up killing the flow numbers...

Yeah. Don't just take a dremel to it. The stock ports had a bumpy surface on it, almost felt like a fine layer of sand if you know what I mean.

Well I live on the beach here in Corpus Christi, so I could just throw it in the sand for a few days, that might roughen up the ports a bit, eh? lol
