Hey put an OBD-II code reader on the car and said I'm throwing a code in cylinders 1-4 for missfiring... and he said the only way it'll do that missfiring is by boosting it ... even barely... and since i have no fuel mods he said it's detonating and i Prob have a ****ed Cylinder Head and bad ring lands now...
what do you Turbo GURU's say to this???

Um. How about this?
Remove the spring from your wastegate so you're not boosting at all. Then get you some fuel management. You can't add more air without fuel.

Just called me back said my motor is blown, first cylinder is done only has 50 PSI readin on a compression leakdown... piston is cracked... I dont' ****ing get it... i had it max of 3500 RPMS.... is this crazy?? WTF do i do???
I threw codes for misfiring in my car when i over reved it by missing a gear. But after I cleared them the same day it never came up again. and my car runs fine. But im not sure, you are under boost and you do need a fuel system. I have to agree with taz. take out the spring and don't boost. Just get the FMU and inline pump and safc or emanage.Sounds like it probably is detanation. do you have a boost controller? How did you set your boost down?

Sorry to hear it, K20 time....
Although, I edited the title so others will learn from your experience...
More air + no more fuel = bad

so if you just undo the spring then you wont have any boost but you can have the kit on still and run the car fine?
the reason that i ask is sf is sending my kit to me without the fuel stuff since they dont have it yet and are going to send it latter but i want to get some of this kit put on befor im off to college and have no garage to work in

I need to do a compression test on my motor... I ran it a couple times with the pump shut down.
I'm sorry to hear what happened man, but you need to understand... we told you not to drive the car and you didn't listent. We said to kill the boost but you still ran it...
Do the research before you boost your car, not after. Sorry for your misfortunes, if you need help if you decide on replacing/fixing the motor then let me know. I'd be glad to help.

that does suck, but you MAY want to get a second opinion. Is it running REAL bad now or was it that you just thru the code and took it to get checked? And btw there is a local 7th gen running boost on his and the last i knew he had ZERO fmu on it.

THe motor itself didn't really BLOW guys... the head isn't cracked if i really felt like it I could buy a new piston from Honda for like $50-60 and have it installed and everything would be cool... cylinder 1 read at 90 on the compression test where the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th all were perfect at 210.... the first cylinders piston cracked and cracked it's lands thats why the smoke was coming out and oil in in the DP... I just don't feel like dealing with all this bullshit of spending more money now to buy a whole new set up pistons to have a built motor and then sleeve it, then get a return system which is truly ideal for our cars not to be ****ed up and detonate, and then i'd have to Tune the bitch, and that all total's up to more than a Freshman in college wants to pay or can pay.... i'm selling it... It's all in prefect condition not even 300 miles on it... 250 or so from the person before me... and not even 50 from me... I have spent a lotta money on getting everything custom to work PERFECTLY hence IC piping is the best i've seen on this sight.. nobody can touch mine and keep the PS and A/C like i did.... and I just want a car that is built from the factory that is already turbocharged and can handle lots of boost on a stock block which in the end is a lot more OOOPS proof....
and NO pics... there's nothing to see... i'm not taking it all apart... just gonna get a new motor from honda and sell the car and kit separate and go on with life...

210? The honda manual states that it should all read at 135. Maybe somethings up. Mine read at 180ish though, so I may be in the same boat as you. I'm just curious why the manual states that it should be 135 when me and you are both getting close to 200. I made another thread about it.

I'll be doing more research in the mean time to figure out what's up with the car. Luckily I know a bunch of other 7hgen oweners so I'll do a test on one of their lower mileage NA cars and see what happens.

Thank you... this is true even though i don't really like what havok decided to change the title of my post to, but whatever lol... that's what ya get ta do when ur a mod i guess
You might be loosing compression from the head gasket they will blow before anything else and you will get smoke. Also before I installed my missing link map isolator I got that same code several times. If the MAP reads boost it will show misfire on all cylenders. I lost compression when I blew the waterjackets of the head gasket inside my engine. It blew on cylender one both times. Might just be that. Dont give up. Pull the head and see might just need a new headgasket and a map isolator.

how expensive is it to take it to somebody, and have them take the head off and see if I blew a Headgasket? I just find it too weird for it to just be the headgasket when the 2nd 3rd and 4th cylinders all have the same compression reading and the 1st one just plain sucks...
