to the people with k20a swap

hi,

Im in the end of my long a$$ swap and I got an issue with the top pulley being to high and the hood can not be closed.... did anyone have this type of issue with thir swap in 01-03 ex 2dr civic???

i used hasport mount kit and everything went in great but the damn pulley is to high... i know i could get a smaller pulley but there is a back pice that will also be little to high.... Im talking about the top pulley on the motor.. I was even thinking of fabricating sometype of a hood scoop.. but i really dont want that, am i doing something wrong?

thanks in advance

yeah, it is an issue...Hawk had it, and he just cut the inside skeleton of the hood to make space for the pulley. That's the only way that I know of, but I heard if you get an aftermarket CF hood, the pulley will clear it, but i dunno how true that is.

Congrats on the swap btw ^_^

either they had a aftermarket hood or they didn't have a 7thgen cause trust me, i can talk from experience it won't fit otherwise.
