Intercooler and Intercoler Piping Help
I was going to finish my turbo kit by buying SF Intercooler and SF Intercooler piping (got the rest of the SF pieces already). But I don't feel like waiting for 3 months or more for it. I want to ask these with SF turbo kit or these with custom tubro.
What size of Intercooler and what angel of piping did you use. I was thinking about using 29x6x3 Spearco Intercooler. I am not to sure about piping. Does anyone know what kinda of piece I need.
Maybe something like this???

Btw: It is for 01 Civic LX.
I know ImportRacer2123 is working for his EX, but no one try a LX?????

just have the pipes bent at a shop. that is the best way to get it done. there is no set angle to bend them. it is different for every setup.
Yes, i ran my piping thru where the windshield washing resevior is..i have an LX. You can go the other side but i decided not to, the space in between the battery is really tight. I used mandrel bent steel U bends from Jegs, the same piping that Importracer2123 used. It works very well. My intercooler is 32"x6"x2" IF you know anyone who can cut and weld steel then this is the way to go, its a lot cheaper. You can also go aluminum but its more money. Its up to you. They sell U and J shaped steel and aluminum bends
^32 for length seems really really long! How did it fit in there? I was thinking of going with an 18X6X3, but it might be too small. Let me know how well it fits, and how much cutting you had to do.

The HKS intercooler that Dezod is using in his turbo kit is 5" H x 15.7" W x 2.5" D and that supports up to 400HP. If you are going to be using an 18x6x3 intercooler you will be just fine.

Well as far as the ebay pipes that's a good price
I got all those bends with couplers and clamps for that price..shipped!
Only thing i didn't get was the straight ones.
All you need is a Dremel tool to cut them and do the measuring your self

Why is everyone so hype about running the charge piping through both sides? Is a conformity issue? Obsessive compulsive? I understand how much easier flow would be and routing would be, but hey life is like a box of chocolates......
There are MEGA HP cars that route all the piping on one side. Huge Kit manufacturers that do the same. Sometimes vehicle designs limit this, which is the case here. Obviously, if it could have been done with ease, it would have been now. We should just be glad that we even have room for turbo at all.

dude... some people... like myself are perfectionists... and when it comes to a perfectionist's car, everything must be right and how THEY want it and how they see it fit to be... trust me i've seen it done before on an EX without losing A/C, P/S, or ABS... it has been done... i just gotta find out again what had to be modified for this to work...
dezod do you know anywhere to get a top and bottom IC like the SF one? any dealers you know? i would rather have an IC in that set up than have that long pipe hanging under and gettting bent.

I already evaluated it for the kit, but ruled it out due to cost.
