TSI Extreme Kit w/ T25BB. (calling turbo gurus)

I am looking at buying the TSI Extreme Turbo Kit w/ T25BB. Does this kit include everything i need to be safely turboed? What else would be needed and what recommended? With this kit would i have to sacrifice power steering and a/c. thanks.

1. yes

2. yes, but recommended is a turbo timer (though i think it might come with one), a boost controller (ditto), and if you want to boost more later, you'll want to get rid of that fuel system and convert to return.

3. no.

how does it bypass not eliminating the power steering and a/c? it had the inlet/outlet on both sides. i heard when you have the inlet on the drivers side the only way to go up is through the power stering and a/c? correct me if i am wrong, but why doesnt everyone else utilize the way they do this to use a dual sided intercooler and maintain the stuff?

Yes the kit includes everything you need. I'd recommend gauges for boost, air/fuel, and egt along with a nice boost controller and stronger clutch kit. You will not have to sacrifice anything with the TSI kit.

In the future if you did need to add more fuel you could do so very easily by adding additional injectors.

The TSI kit has an injector plate that allows for 2 extra injectors which are capable of supplying all the fuel you will need.

bumping this thread so i dont have to start a new one...

if all i want is to get maybe 160-180whp so i can get some extra power for daily driving would the TD extreme kit be a wise choice? someone is willing to sell me a complete extreme kit for really cheap and its in excellent shape. would i need to upgrade anything like the fuel management, etc...? like i said i dont want to do 10-12 psi or try and make 200+whp. can anyone with the kit let me know what they think?

processo: Yah this kit would suit ur needs nicely. Small turbo that will spool up fast, but wont put out huge numbers. IF you're looking for 160-180 the t25 should be fine. Im not sure what kinda of fuel management is included with the TD kit, but either way you will need to upgrade you're fuel set-up. Its a must for pretty much any PSI worth having.

i believe their fuel system is 1 or 2 extra injectors and some kind of "black box" which i'm guessing is similar to the one greddy uses with their kits...but i dont know how well it will work. can someone give me their review of the kit? pros, cons, likes, dislikes, etc...?

I've got the kit on my car now. The T25BB kit...with the 2 extra injectors. I have had a few problems...but nothing to do with the kit, my installer didn't know what he was doing. But overall I think it is a really good kit. The fuel system seems to be the best one out there right now...so no, you will NOT need to upgrade that, this kit will supply you with as much fuel as you will need. Yes the kit comes with the black box. But my suggestion is to not use that black box and buy a synapse engineering missing link, which replaces that black box...and works much better for and turbo kit. This missing link is only around $50. Right now...im running 6-8psi....stock internals.....stock clutch and flywheel......stock everything, i installed what came with the kit, upgraded the black box....put in better oil....run 93 octane gas.....and have better spark plugs, and it runs great!

i plan on buying the t28bb turbo upgrade from TSI in about a week......and also the fuel management upgrade which comes w/ four 440 cc injectors and an afc....Which i would highly reccomend to those wanting to push some decent numbers, i dont see the logic in adding two more inline injectors.....it just seems as if it would be doing more work than i has to...but o well....

i think the theory to adding 2 extra injectors is that if you got bigger injectors the stock pump still could only put out so much even with bigger injectors but if you add extra injectors you are actually adding more fuel.....but then again this theory is just my theory and what do i know?

no the stock pump is actually really powerful.....which came as a surprise to me as well.but no you do not need to swap fuel pumps as well when you replace the injectors

My friend with an 04 EX just ordered the kit with the T28 BB. We will be installing it next weekend when his boost guage and straight pipe come. The kit I believe only runs 6psi from the box, but we will be taking it to a dyno and turning up the boost hoping to hit 200whp. Thats the goal anyway!
