I already have my intercooler
whoa
watch out for G MONEY here. I guess you got that chedda stacked so you can buy parts and not worry if they don;t work or have to spend extra to custom fabricate them. everything i do i have to make sure it's gonna almost bolt in or work for sure. I only have x amount of dollars and the tools i have in my garage to work with.
unless you wanna be my personal parts sponsor?

in the process of installation--its lunch time, as far as i can tell, the intercooler piping is going under the left headlight, if you remove the washer resevior, it then goes down that opening. havent gotten that far though, ill keep updates.

lol... don't you get it??? nobody... NO COMPANY... makes an intercooler piping "KIT" for our cars since they are not turbo'd from the factory... AKA everything is a "CUSTOM" kit unless you buy a kit from SF or wherever for 3-4 G's and then it is all there and ready for you to install.... but when u are asking where it goes and how to do it yourself, thats saying it's all custom, and ur saying u only have a limited amount of parts, that means ur def going to a shop to get the pipes cut and bent to your specifications, and trust me they will take off you front bumper and see where the piping needs to go and how to bend it exactly and cut to the right length... don't worry bout that getting too ****ed up... just get the intercooler thats the first thing that ya need ta do... then worry about how it will be piped... cause for the most part... you won't have to think about that... that's what ur paying the "professionals" to do...
In the mia we got alot of mickey mouse @$$ shops. My freind is a master welder. so me and him are making the piping that why i need to know how it gonna route. i have to buy the pipe bends then bend them oursleves. so i need a general direction so i don't waste money on piping im not gonna use.

OK... i gotcha now then... does he have mandrel pipe bender then??? if so then it should be a piece of cake... just depends on size of piping... if it's 2.5 then it'll be a lot tougher than 2"... just think about that kinda stuff first... then work out all the kinks

For future reference.. SF turbo kits are custom kits. hence the name stafford FABRICATIONS, they aren't like greddy.. and use all greddy parts they use a mixture of random parts.

Hey ***... do you see custom configurations on all their kits as being different? don't they all come with the same FMIC with the inlet and outlet on the same side and the intercooler piping always the same size and going the same place as the guys in Washingtons kit went and the same for that dude up in New york... (just random references)... THEY are manufactured kits from a company, they might still not use (in-house) "SF products" but they are all the same... not just anybody throwing together a kit everytime somebody orders one... they don't build to specification except for the color of the IC piping sometimes...
correct me if i said anything wrong please...

Don't call me an ***.. When they have to CUSTOM part together every kit, and custom make all the intercooler piping whether it be the same for every kit or not, then it is custom. When they start mass producing kits like greddy then they will no longer be, "Custom" kits.

isnt it drag on the incoming air? Not really affecting spool up time, just the time it takes to get the air up in there. Congrats for making it work tho, and I think it will be fine....who cares ur turbocharged!

that is basically what SF did with their intercooler piping, but it is all inside the ic...but the only problem i see, is that i would try to make the bend a little more smooth coming out the driver side of the intercooler...but other than that, i think that you got it...let us know how it works out

Take a look underneath your car and it will be very easy to see what I'm talking about, and this can be done without relocating anything, and only cutting a small part of the splash guard on the bottom of your bumper cover.
Mine does this, the charge pipe only hangs 3/4ths of an inch below the bumper and oil pan, so I lost very little ground clearance.

couldnt the intercooler be mounted upside down so the inlet and oulet where on the top of the intercooler, instead of the bottom. This would lessen the U-bend of the pipe on the drivers side ?
