You can swap the heads, but you need to swap the ECUs also. So you will need the K20A2 ECU to go with the K20A2 head. As for getting the same HP, you will need a higher compression ratio. The SI stock compression ratio is 9.8:1 I believe. The RSX Type S is 11:1.

dont forget the dual-stage intake manifold with the shorter runners that the SI dont have but the RSX-Type-S does. it sure does make it sound real cool

Also, arent the exhaust headers on the K20A2 different than the K20A3 that gives more power?

A3 - A2:

1. different exhaust manifold
2. different intake manifold
3. different compression pistons (A3 - 9.8:1, A2 - 11.0:1)
4. different cams
5. different VTEC mechanism (A3 has 2 cam lobes per pair of valves, A2 has 3) ... this type of VTEC is essentially the same as the new D17 VTEC (unlike the D16's, 3 cam lobes) ... A3 has 2 stage i-VTEC, A2 has 1
6. different valve springs
7. 6 speed, diff. axles
8. different redline (6800? for A3, 8200 for A2)

A - A2

1. different exhaust manifold (4-2-1)
2. different compression pistons (11.5:1)
3. different cams
4. different valve springs
5. shorter gearing
6. 9 pound chromoly flywheel
7. factory LSD
8. longer axles
9. different redline (A - 8400)

The IM on the A is better than the A2.

I thought the IM on the K20A3 in the SI was the same as the one on the K20A2. The IM on the A3 in the Base RSX in plastic.
