Do's & Dont's
okay finally my turbo kit is coming in so for all u guys that are either boosted or have experience with FI cars...what are the do's and don'ts of driving a boosted car...PLEASE DONT FLAME ME....I'M NEW BOOTY AT THIS...We gotta start somewhere so I rather pick u guys brains' than go out and mess something up....I'm posting this on another site also and I'm gonna put both of the responses I get together...thanx

honestly, if you have to ask this question, then maybe you shouldn't be boosting at all.

thanx guys...so not over 8psi without tuning? anything else...what should i run daily, stock psi? I was told I could run 9psi at the track....also right now, I use medium grade unleaded so when I boost, use super unleaded right? any special oil type/weight recommended? I've also heard about driving it in EXTREME heat is a

Colder spark plugs help. 9psi is still a no no without alcohol or retarded ignition timing.
daily drive at 6ish and you'll be fine, about .5-.52 bar is fine for the track, that way you can still drive it home later.
.52bar = 7.54psi btw...
