the k20 is where its at in the aftermarket world right now, it seems every company is making something for it. The K series is the future of the honda world, thats why i went with it.

i thought if you had a 2k1 civic you still can drop a 2001 bseries into it.

K series motors are slowly replacing the B series .... so it would be pointless to make mounts for B series. everybody's focus now is on the K series motors. just wait a year or so and let the price drop for an RSX motor

Legally, you can. It pretty much limits you to a 2k1 B18 though.

Anyways, the K-series swap is definitely the swap to go with. Not only is it legal, but the K-series offers much more than the B-series. Its also becoming a popular swap not only in 7thgen civics, but 5th and 6th gen civics as well.

This question is asked all the time! Or at least some variation on the question. Just search.
I dont know what you guys are talkin about on the price issue. How cheap do you want it to get? Its a motor that they compare with the B18C (Integra Type R motor). Nothing else really compares to the performance other than that motor. So its only right that the price sit right close to it. But that isnt even the case. A full B18C drop out is like $5K. You can find K20A2's for like $2500 to $3000, or at least I can find them for that much pretty easily. And the K motors are obviously newer than the B18C cause they didnt make the K series until 02, and yet they are still cheaper. So where do you guys want the price? You want it like a B16? Come on, you are paying for top of the line performance. One of the most potent motors Honda has produced.
