You may wanyt to research a little bit too. There's a few guys out there that think differently. They make equations and build FI motors constantly so they know what they're doing.
For 300whp on a 1.7L car, the most efficent exhaust would be 2.3". Also remember that muffler core is a big thing too. Buying 3" piping and buying even a non turbo apexi N1 muffler (real N1 not ebay) wont be any where near efficient. The muffler core on the N1 is a lot smaller than 3" so it would be somewhat pointless. If you bought the TURBO N1 version, it has a much larger core and a 3" would be more suitable for it.

custom piping is the best way to to with a free flowing muffler. if you can get your hands on some 3" titanium piping, that would be damn bad ***.
to get the most out of a turbo charged car you want as little backpressure as possible. so the best exhaust is no exhaust. but the carbon monoxide would be coming up under the floor pannels and you would get a little sleepy in a daily driver. so i say go 2.75-3" piping N1 or HKS carbonfiber canister.

well as long as the pipe is facing the ground you shouldn't smell to much but still not good i guess( for the o zone and all)

I got megan racing hi-flow cat 3" I think
, and a Tsudo Catback 2.5---I love the gains, a bit too loud but it should tone down a bit when I get my turbo kit on... IMO don't go over 2.5" when you're runnin below 220WHP just to have a bit of back pressure...
i was talking to some friends and they haev turbo 6th gen and tegs...they said that 3" custom pipe with n1 would be great, and that the bigger the exhaust the quicker the turbo will spool...is this true?

why does everyone play out Apexi's N1's???? These are damn nice exhausts i'm not gonna denote that.... but c'mon there are so many more just as good if not better 3" designs as well.... hell I'm running a 3" Nur-Spec.... and i guarantee you won't find another member on this site running this exact same exhaust... maybe it's just me, but i like to be a little diff from the rest of the crowd... destinguish yourselves...

I definately helps spoolup, sounds good, and added AT LEAST 10-15 whp on the top end. Feels much better now.
