b16a2 swap
Jodster I was not talking to you. I was talking to someone earlier. I paid 2200 for the complete swap, thats with engine that is compression tested, leak tested and ase certified. The engine has btween 20,000 and 30,000 miles. On my 2001 civic i have 40,000. The mechanic that i have been going to for years said he can do the swap for 1,000 i had other quotes from speed shops in philly for 2900 for the engine and then 1600 for labor and anywhere from 0-1500 for misc. The swap comes with everything including the axels and the shift linkage. I want to get a turbo kit with it but i have to see if i am going to have any unanticipated problems with the swap before i commit to a kit. If everything goes as plan i will have enough and i will have a 2001 civic ex with a turbo jdm b16a2. If you have any other questions feel free to ask, I plan on going tomorrow with the digital camera and take pictures of the progress so far. I will post them tomorrow night.

ur putting a b16 into a 2001+ civic, for one i dont see this happening, unless mounts appeared from thin air, also i hope u know this one is going to get locked just like the other one
Why do you insist on adding the "2"? For the amount of money you are going to pay to shoehorn that thing in you couldve bought hasport k24 mounts and a k24 with a k20 tranny. Instead you opted for a swap that most skilled 7th gen drivers can hang with until 3rd gear.

If you have doubts come to philly, delaware ave. or front street the first weekend in april and we will see whats up. Plus yeah i know the d17 can keep up in the first two gears cause it has the same tourqe as the b16 it can also keep up with the h22 but after the first two gears you get blown away and i know that for a fact cause my boy has one. I thought we wrre all suppose to be cool but you all are a bunch of haters.

Rep Power: 0 I was just saying hasport is developing the products to prove to you all that it can be done. My car went in yesterday to get everything ripped out, and the engine is coming in tomorrow from conneticut. I don't know why you are all so negative it will be done. Just because i am doing it before the kit comes out. Sorry i don't wait for big business to tell me i can do something.
