mounting intercooler

I got my intercooler(30"x2"x6") in the mail the other day and was wondering what i should use to mount it? It came with no mounting kit or bolts so i guess i have to plan up my own way..any ideas? thanks

Have a plate welded onto the top of it and drill two holes just like the SF FMIC. Then use the nutrod (pictured in SF installation pics) to secure it.

any idea on the size of the plate? im having a guy weld it for me, since its aluminum

you mean welded to the BOTTEM of it. not the top.

edit: ya oso is right the plate is on the bottom mah bad

Or you could just do what I did - have to L shaped brackets welded to the top, to long strips welded to the bottom, and bolt the bisnotch to the front bumper.....Guarenteed not to come off!

with the L shaped brakets did you then bolt that to the support beam?

I am going to bolt the top to the front bumper, the bottom to the frame

i have a L shaped bracket on the top of mine welded to the bumper, and then i have to other brackets welded to the underneath of the radiator support
