Smile Check this $hit out!

Almost done with everything. This is just a test fit. The upper IC pipe is a smigen short, but it will work (T-Bolt clamp). I don't think right now I'm going to powder coat anything - I just want to get this done. Can't finish the project until I get my new manifold (and some way to install larger injectors)....

Shot 2:

Oh yeah, where to put the windshield washer bottle too...:

Heh, yeah - it was a Saturday, I had some time to kill. Figured I'd try and start putting things together. Of course the fun part is that I have to take them all apart (since I need to be able to drive my car). So I'm almost there....Hope to be able to run around 6 psi with the emanage alone....Hopefully the injector fiasco will be solved sometime this year!

I think he made the piping and took it to a welder or he did it all himself

Yeah, I ordered 2.5" SS from the net (mandrel bent of course). With the help of a lot of masking tape I lined everything up. Once I had it I brought it to a cool shop in in Orlando and had him weld it.....He did a good job!

BOV? Oh $hit!!!!

J/K -

Look closely at the secondt photo. If you look right up from the power steering resevoir you'll see (barely) the flange for the SSQV. I didn't put it on at the moment because I was just fitting the piping up. I wanted to place it closer, but space was limited with the route I went.....

do you have an LX or EX? I have an LX, and need to find which side of the engine bay to take the charge pipe...looks good though man...

What did you remove from the engine bay to get it to fit?

It's prob an LX (possibly a DX)... there's no vtec logo on the spark plug cover...

From what I could see, all he removed was the full stock air intake assembly, possibly his air conditioning system.

Actually, the only thing I removed was the stock intake filter / airbox, windshield washer bottle, and horn (I had an airhorn installed).....Of course I still need to find a place to mount the horn and washer bottle....Its an LX BTW.

nice, is there any way to take the charge pipe from the left side up the intercooler to the throttle body on an LX? Or would you have to relocate the battery and all that also?

To be honest you can do whatever you want. The only thing is you need an intercooler which has an entry / exit on both sides (SF's kit does this). I went this way because I wanted a spearco intercooler (bar and plate - better cooling capacity), plus there isn't as much of a pressure drop due to changes in direction.

Yeah... I had to ditch the windshield washer. But I figured how to "remount" one. Take's a little DIY work though and you have to lengthen the wires. The downside being that you have to fill it up with a funnel, upside being that you don't need to remove the bumper to refill each time. I guess it all depends on where you live as to whether or not you need the resevoir. I know I needed it.

Looks good so far though... can't wait to see it finished. Good luck.

Really? Where did you end up finally mounting it that didn't require removing the bumper?

I never did the final mount... I fitted it, but never had time to do the actual install. But you can fit it on the other side of the bumper. But you have to cut part of the neck off the reservoir, replace the cap (or a cap) on it, drill a hole through the cap, and run a rubber hose in it and up to the engine compartment and get a bracket to keep it in place. The hose was pretty unnoticeable. Then just fill it up with a funnel through there. I guess if you even wanted, you could place a dipstick to check the level. Like I said though... it's DIY, so don't expect it to bolt into place. There was enough room for it above the IC piping, and it could have been snug on top of the IC piping, and warapped pretty tight on cars frame (where the piping makes a 90 degree turn) with metal wire. Then, just extend the wires over to that side of the car (easy) and run some more washer tubing to meet up with the end on the other side of the bumper.

Some could call it ghetto rigged, but it would work pretty well. The only other option I can think of is rerouting the whole thing to the trunk lol. Cuz there sure as hell isn't any room in the engine compartment.
