How hard is it to swap a RSX Type R (k20a)

I will soon have enough money to afford a K20A motor swap. I own a 2001 honda civic EX auto. How hard will it be to swap the transmission and the engine in my civic. I heard you have to use some of the RSX to make the engine fit. Will the transmission be easy to swap too? Do i have to replace the center console and odomoter after the manual transmission is in place? If anyone did the RSX Type R swap in their civic can you please send me the links. I'm really not that smart when it comes to motor swaps and auto to manual transmission swaps.

actually the auto to manaul conversion is not bad at all cause your taking the manual trans and computer from the RSX, the only thing you need to do is figure out how to mount the new pedals.

Hasports car started out as a auto.

actually, switching from auto to 6 speed wont be that much work since honda uses the same body for manuals and automatics. so all the holes are already there for the shift linkage etc... and theres also a spot for the clutch pedal inside the car, youlll just need to get all the mounting brackets. if you check under the wheel where the pedals connect you cant miss it.

thx for the info...sounds easy...when the transmission swap is done do i have to change the center console and the odometer since mine is an automatic..More than likely I will get a new tacometer that will read higher RPMS. Just wanna know if its necessary to change the odometer and center console.

odometer no but the speed it reads might be a little off due to change in tire size, but that would happen if you were to simply get bigger rims so not much you can do about it. and center console no, youll just need to get a manual shifter.

It's complicated very complicated unless you know exactly what to do step by step. Just look at my type-r Swap I think I metioned things in there. If you need help since I already did the swap email me at montuori@comcast.net and I will give you all the info to make your swap extremly quick and easy but for me it took 2months to get everything working right.
