P&P for me:)
Well, I just dropped my car off to have a P&P and 5 angle valve job done....I'm getting a really good deal...$1000 with the labor included. I was going to send my head to Dh and let them do it, but it would have taken too long and I would have paid more. The guy that is doing it is supposedly really good from what everyone is telling me I can't wait to get my car back and tune my Vafc II again to see what gains I get..The guy told me he will take some before and after pics of the work and what not so I'll have someone post them when I get it back..I'll keep you guys posted

hmmm......$1000 seems kinda cheap. I doubt that u are getting a "true" 5 angle valve job and i hope they are gonna machine the valve seats to match.

i've done some research and from what i collected a 5 angle valve job is not beneficial on Honda heads. It seems that many test have been done with many combinations and the 3 angle valve job is better than a 5 angle one. Now this hasn't been tested on a D17 cuz basically, nobody really has done it yet.

I guess I'll be the first.....The guy that is doing my head told me that he will look at it before he actually does the valve job...So, it might be a 3 angle job instead of the 5....I'll keep you posted and I should have my car back by the end of the week or beginning of the next. Where have you found this research so I can tell the guy before he does it?
yes keep us posted. i really want to know what kind of gains everyone will be getting and what they did to it. dynos would be very beneficial but i do understand that sometimes that is not an option.
hey peeps go here to see the dyno sheets from me this weekend

i suggest that everyone registers there......it is a great resource of info from real technicians and real NHRA drag racers.

I got my car back last Thursday and it is awesome!!!! It made a huge difference in the mid to high range...I ended up just doing the 5 angle instead of the 3, because it seems that we all already have a variation of a 3 angle from stock....It didn't cost me anymore, because I know the guys really well...I'm sure once I get my car retuned, I'll see even better gains... I suggest that everyone consider doing this if your wanting to get serious about modding your car. I'll keep you guys posted once I get the dyno.
