Profec E-01 & Emanage

Hi, I want to know how many people here are running the Profec E-01 & Emanage together (or even just the E-01) on their boosted D17s ???

I know Boosted2k2 is/was one, anyone else? Since my SF kit is on the way (maybe a long way) I am thinking of getting the E-01/Emanage setup as well. But dont know if I would be able to install and then tune it all by myself? Those of you who have it, is it worth the price and did you tune it yourself?

Also, does the Emanage controls Ignition timing etc on D17s?

Thanks!

Timing yes.

Tuning......by yourself? I dunno. Depends on your know how. I'd recommend taking it to a Dyno.

Boosted2k2 should not be trustedBoosted2k2 should not be trusted
If you have a wideband sensor/unit with an analog output, you can hook it up to the E01 and record the data (street tuning 0-7000rpm-- Throttle position and RPM vs. A/F). Take the recording and find out where you are lean (RPM vs Throttle position). If you are lean in a spot, up the value in the fuel map that corresponds to that spot (RPM vs Throttle Position). It's a 16X16 map, so that gives you 256 possible throttle vs rpm positions to fine tune for. Run it again, and check for the change in A/F in what you just changed. Add/Remove as necessary and go again. It would take patience to do this if you don't have access to a dyno.

Thanks for the info buddy. However, it sounds as if wont be as easy as I thought it would be. Do you think the AEM EMS would be a better choice (when it comes out i.e.)?

Thanks!

I plan to drive my car the second I finish installing the kit (who wouldnt?). But arent most of the people here driving turbocharged without any timing control thing? However, it would be really nice if there was an easier solution to it.

I emailed Catalyst and he told they have some kind of a timing control device, I have asked him for details, so lets see what he says. Does anyone else knows anything about that?
