preparation for boost

Say that I already decided that boost is the only way to go. I have a fresh stock 7th gen civic and i'm looking for a first mod. the turbo would wait a while till enough money is had...and i'm itching to get some mods done. Headers is def out of the question, and intake wise, i think a k&N drop in filter would be good enough- also reuseable for the turbo kit. But exhaust wise, what would be the best size diameter to go if you know you already want boost but don't have it yet. I would think a good compromise would be 2.5 or 2.75 . Would getting a catback exhaust be a good idea if you already know you want boost or is custom piping the way to go? most catback exhaust come with 2.25 piping...so i'm not sure if that is wide enoguht for the turbo to perform at it's best. thaks in advance

HondaLuver will become famous soon enough
if your going to get a turbo, i would just wait till you get the turbo and get the exhaust later, you are going to need a 2.5 no bigger, unless you are really boosting

ibtm, wrong fourm... blah...

and if i were you, i would work on the suspention befor you make ur car go fast

agreed. setting up the suspension would be your best bet. It'll allow you to enjoy your car when your simply not just going in a straight line, will improve your handlind and ride, and also allow you to have fun at autocross events. Also, springs would also make your ride look better over a nice set of rims and rubbers.

You could change your exhaust now if you want, but would you be happy simply driving with an aftermarket exhaust drawing people's attention on a otherwise bone-stock civic?
