Market push for IK20s...(turbo people check it)
Hey guys. Giving everyone who hasn't bought them yet or needs to buy new ones a tip...
Dezod.com (my sponser) is ordering some Denso Iridium IK22s in for us. He should have a good amount of them in stock by next week. As some of you know, the IK20s (not the IK22s posted earlier) are pretty hard to find, and you have to wait a while for them.
PM Dezod. Tell them that madwheel sent you and he'll give you a pretty sweat price (not a group buy price but damn competitive). Also, keep in mind that he will be stocking these which means you'll get them fairly quickly. If you check is Buy/Sell rating it's perfect. So you now know you're getting a respectable vendor.
Just figured I'd give you guys info on where to go... I'm buying them within a few days from now...
-Joe
***BTW - If you are running forced induction you pretty much need these or equivelant plugs. Do it right and get colder rated plugs. They're a must for forced induction.
New update...
Dezod just called me. He's pulling some plugs in for stock for next week. Either he or I will update you guys on a killer deal he's workin on...
The IK20s are better than 22s as I stated earlier. They're still colder than stock but will not run as rich as colder ones will. Bottom line, IK20s are still colder than stock, but yeild closer to stock performance without risking CELs (like i had with diff plugs) and detonation.

My car kept loading up on fuel and stalling w/ colder plugs....So im just running stock plugs, but allot of people swear by the colder densos so Ill give them a try. Maybe the zex plugs I had were just crap.

yeah i heard zex aren't too hot. my ngk iridium ix's were sweet for the first 4kmiles, then it started doing the same as yours.
the denso's are supposed to be the best.

BTW - I posted an update again in the first post. IK20s are the way to go it seems. Still better than stock, higher quality, better performance, and a nice inexpensive mod.
Also as stated in the first post, you will all get a definate price soon. He'll have them in stock next week

Yeah we are gonna have about 40 in stock by mid-late next week. When we re-open on 2/14/03, we will be able to begin shipping. Average price is $12/plug plus shipping & or tax. Still determining the special 7thgen price.

See guys you'll save money! lol... btw, my autozone has them for 12.99 as well SaiyanMatador, but they can't get them for me... only the price which sucks... but yah dezod will hook us up
hmm ... I'm new to this ... colder plugs = higher engine idle? ... because that's what mine seems to be doing ... idles at 1500-1600 in cold weather ... don't even need the gas pedal to engage the clutch T_T;;;;
or maybe it's because of my busted o2 sensor

Bosch Platnium+4 outperform all plugs. Bosch is ahead of the game. Also considerign they own or liscense a lot of parts on all cars... Even honda.
Example: DENSO fuel injectors are really BOSCH licensed technology.

Bosh plugs are OK. Bosh ingition wires suck the big one. I've seen MANY more than one car have nothing but problems with bosh product.
To answer the higher idle... It's only doing that because the air temp is cold. Your ECU increases your idle temporarily to speed up the increase in engine temp to a safer level.
The bosh platinum 4s aren't bad, but will not outperform the denso ik20s. Simply because if you do some research, iridiums are better for turbo or other forced induction applications. Bosh MAAAYY be better for NA, but def not for any FI. Period.

That good, I plan on running boost soon and I have IK20's and always thought i'd have to move to IK22, good news. By the way, my friends Honda/Acura shop has impoies with high 11 sec cars that are daily drivers and they said Bosch Plus 4's four little eletrodes break off and end up in the motor sometimes, makes sense and is not good!

Havok is correct and "DaddyFatSacks" is proof of platinum's incompatibility with highly built engines or FI.
^That and Densos are better quality anyway lol.

my shop dynoed, denso vs ngk, all they did was dyno ngk first, then took them out and put in denso, and dynoed, with denso and no other tuning or modifications the car lost 4 hp, put the ngk back in and went back to the whp it got the first time

When I see the same thing happen to our cars then I'll believe it. Our ignition systems are nothing like there's so I wouldn't use that as guide for our cars.

it may be different on our cars, and it may not be, but that statement alone was enough to get me to JUST SAY NO. plus im not going to spend the money to dyno PLUGS, nor do i think anyone else on here does, plus i would have to buy 50 dollar plugs to try it, where as i can just stick to my 18 dollar NGK, i know i said liek 28 earlier, but then i looked at the bill, my bad
