H22?
Anyone know any information on swapping an H22 in a 95 civic hatch SI? I need to know the differences in installing it compared to a b series swap? How much harder is the wiring?

You can get the wiring harness and motor mount kit from Hasports. Really the only hard part about the swap is that you will need to take a sledge hammer to the fire wall. LOL The engine bay is not big enough. So you have to make it. But after that everything is installed just like any other motor swap.
If you are not too sure about doing this, find some shops around your area to do it for you. Where are you located?

^^^^^^Well if you don't want to do the install see if there is a shop around you do to it. I know one of the local shops here will install h22s in egs for $1200.

do i know the shop ur refering to???otherwise hes going to do it himself, hes in automotive tech school and is a decent ways through it
Call these guys
Hybrid Automotive at (408)661-0610 and talk to Jeff.
That shop speacializes in H22 swaps. They've done more than a lot of the EG H22 swaps, Ek H22 swaps, and DC2 H22 swaps. They really know what they are talking about.
Other than that, start reading on honda-tech.com. There is a lot of info on there about the H22 swaps in the hybrid forum.

actually measured by HASport the H22 is about 80lbs heavier than a B18. They arent the lightest motor around.
I think you should just put together a K motor and put it in your 95 Civic. All the info about that is on Honda-Tech.com. They have everything for that swap now, down to the plug-and-play wire harness conversion...meaning, no cutting of any wires. Anyways, you are probably wanting to stay a little cheaper than a K motor. Good luck.

H22 in the 95 hatch is bad ***! The only thing I don't like is the weight up front. My friend has that swap and it's really his only issue with it.
The car is stupid fast but can't beat the 94 hatch with the JDM B-16 at all. That car has a 10,000 RPM redline...nutts I tell ya!
