K20A in a 2k1 Civic LX

Does anyone on this forum have or know of anyone who owns a 2k1 or Civic LX that has a K20A motor swapped into it? I only see Civic EXs with K20A engines in this forum. Also, was wondering would it be possible to put a K20A into a 6th gen Civic?? I also found a 2k1 Civic LX($9000) for sale at a really good price. I might be interested in doing a K20A swap in that. What do you guys think?

you can fit a k20 into a 6thgen. it fits in ours and our engine bay is much smaller than the 6thgen so it will fit wit n/p.

Last I heard, hasport was going to make a mount kit for 6th gen civics that wanted k20 in them. And a k20 will fit in a lx/ex/hx/dx. It doesnt matter what type of package you have on your car. Atleast as far as I know.

Sure it matters what type of car you have... Lx dont come equipped with Vtec. Vtec has to be wired in these vehicles... Not that difficult of a task though...

what are u talkin about, just bc a lx doesnt have vtec has nothing to do with the swap,

ull be using a k20 ecu, engine subframe, and wiring harness, unless im not up to date with the harness hasport has and it just wires in to the existing one...

please. VTEC has nothing to do with what trim you have if you are swapping a k20 into a 7thgen. VTEC is part of an engine and only has to be wired up to the ECU. The only thing that may hinder this is if hasport didnt wire it into their harness kits. Its not like VTEC is an extra component in an engine bay like a/c or p/s.
