Who would purchase a SF turbo kit if it was C.A.R.B exempt.
It would be nice to pass smog and keep the ULEV tag.

I don't know how much it costs, but I am sure that Stafford Fabrications would
make up for it in sales like crazy. I would totally get one if
there was an exemtion tag on it....cops can be mean sometimes
Count is at 3 now

You do know that it already passed teh smog test.......i forget who it was but his car passed his smog test with flying colors.
I"m in anyways even though SC doesn't have carb, smog, or yearly exams.

Being an Cali all I'm waiting for is this sticker then my order is in. Local cops and CHP have been tagging and bagging any exhaust modifications on crs...a buddy had to spend 5 grand on the ticket and removal of the items and repalcement of stock parts cause CHP saw his intercooler.
i would buy it either way but being carb exempt would be even sweeter cause i wouldnt get ....

someome should ask SF what the deal is for smog regs and if they submitted something.
Plus, they should have tested this in the first place being located in cali in all.
**** the the cali emissions board hasn't even passed an aftermarket ODB II cat yet!
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

all it needs is the stupid sticker then i would buy it, cause the only other option is going N/a but still making sure you are withing the legal limits, it would pass a smog test , but it just is allowed cause its not carb exempt, is that right?

why either way will you buy it if you live in cali, i mean you take it to get smogged and unless you know someone you wont pass, and if you got stopped by chp and they see it you will just get fines for it then

Cops are sticklers up here for CARB exempt ID's on aftermarket parts.
I would be willing to work with SF (lawyer and papers) to get this passed
at the CAL EPA....I have friends in high places and would like to see this
CARB exempt....civics would then be killing the rsx's like crazy!

I'd encourage SF to proceed with CARB ptn regardless of how long it takes, legal costs or possibility of denial because there are prolly several hundred thousand 7th gen vics on the road today and over a million around the world. Sales will skyrocket if an exemption can be obtained, which is why Greddy went to great lengths to secure 50-state exemption for its 6th gen turbo package. Good luck!!
