Water injection

I read the FAQ but still am confused, how exactly does this work, do i need to fill up a tank with water all the time, is this really necessary, will it be safer, or is air to air fine? Someone just explain this to me in simple terms, and what is necessary to do to have this while your running.

Jaykuai can only hope to improve
what i understand:

You would need to fill the water/alcohol tank most likely when you fill up your gas tank.

It is used to lower the temperature of the air/mixture so it dont cause detonation and so you can run more pressure..
