4g's for a JDM k20a is pretty good, it came with everything you need too. if i wanted to do a swap instead of boosting i would of been all over this auction.

read ppl. says he will take all of the components out of the clip to save on shipping, if it was the entire clip id jump on it too. u wouldnt get the subframe or anytihng else.
cost for swap.
Here is what it costs!
RSX JDM FRONT CLIP: $13,000
Sell the dash headlights, fenders, hood and front bumper
and you will have paid about $6,000 for the motor.
Hasport mounts:$695
2001 RSX type S harness is needed: $445
the rsx type s needs to be modified for the civic in order
plug in and vtech pressure switch needs to be removed
Send harness to hasport (civic and RSX type s)
pay for shipping both ways and wiring: $300
with shipping
If you use the JDM ecu you need to have the immobilizer
removed: I wanted an immobilizer so I found a junk yard with
a key, cylinder lock and computer so that the ECU and Key matched
(but it was a type S ecu!) $700
Send ECU to hondata to update to typr r program. Also the hardware in the ECU
that looks for the vtech pressure switch needs to be removed. So there is hardware
mods to the ecu that costs extra. If you don't remove it you will get a check engine light!
$850
RSX Type S o2 sensors: (2x) These are considered the air fuel ratio sensors inlike the civc they cost about $60 for one but the rsx needs Wideband o2s to meet more emissions friendly requirements. Also if you don't use the rsx o2s you will get a check engine light and your engine will dump alot of fuel. RSX o2 sensors: $480
Installation of the motor: $2600
As you can see if you add it the totals that is about what it cost to the swap.

I don't care thats it's a waste. I want to be different. I am the only dude in CT who did the type r swap. I am tired of a car that is all show no go. The type s has no power but the type r flies. I haven't lost a race yet and took a camero, GTI and BMW 325i

Check out my page. The type-s is going to be cheaper then what joedc5 posted. I completed my in november 2002 and it probably only costed around 8000 total. Yeah, i was sponsored so it was a lot cheaper, but now you already know all the parts need so you don't have to waste time buying parts you don't need. The difference in torque between the type-s and R is about 18 pounds and a 20 hp difference. Hondata has a chip out to update the type-s to get these gains. so they claim. Oh well I could go on and on, but the s should be cheaper. And you can turbo both, mine is turbo'd right now. Dyno's will be out soon. But if you want to boost high you will have to replace the pistons. Ages has 9:1 pistons out for the K20 series now.

Yo I am in no way hating or anything but besides the swap that car is gross.
If he didn't have a swap and he had like I/H/E on the D17 you guys would all call his car rice and all those other names. But because he has the swap noone says anything about the looks of a car (altezzas and aluminum wing).
