My path has been chosen...

I purchased a T25BB turbo off ebay for $180 shipped. This turbo is used, but it looks to be in very good condition.

I also ordered the HKS manifold from optauto.com. I don't have the cash right now for an intercooler. Would it be worth it to go ahead and pipe without an intercooler, then repipe when I can afford one? How cost effective would this be? I'm not looking to run super high boost, so please no flamming about my micro-turbo decision. Thanks guys I know you boostmaniacs will steer me right!

i need to keep the warranty on the subby until I get out of college. My dealership is pretty good about bolt-ons, but anything significant is pretty much out of their control.

intercooler, it will save you troubles in the long run. (hot air tends to detonate more)

Agreed about getting the intercooler first. It would just be a waste of money to pipe and repipe.

why not just use water/alcohol injection as a temporary solution until you can afford the intercooler???

ya, there are tons of used ones on ebay. Those will probably offer decent cooling ability for the amount of boost I plan to run right now.

$180 on turbo. $260 on manifold. I haven't thought about fm yet. Maybe a EF2 or emanage with extra injectors? Something simple, i'm not looking to make outragous boost. Any suggestions?

Good point. I've still got time to decide, its not like i have to plan this all out in a day. I'm going to shop around. I will probably end up holding parts until I can get an intercooler. My main concern right now is fuel management. I'm looking for something simple and light. Like the fmax MF2, or similar injector control units. Once I have a definate solution to FM, then I can decided on the intercooler. ANY help from you guys will be much appreciated.
