More Internal Info!
well guys i have some more insight onto my engine specs now. After spending the week working with the shop owner and one of his engineers we've so far figured out the specs for my rods, pistons and valvesprings/retainers.
the rods are going to be custom billet steel that are thicker and stronger than you can imagine. the pistsons are being custom made by Wiseco with a compression of 8.7:1 and are going to have enlarged wrist pins to fit pins that are designed to fit in a 95-99 DSM. The valvesprings and retainers are all being made with titanium and are going to easily be strong enough for a rev up to 8500. sorry i dont have the specs for the springrates at the moment, its on the computer at the shop. As for the valves themselves, thats still up in the air at the moment to who is making them and what type we are using. im honestly getting tired of researching so much crap to be honest b/c there still is so little aftermarket for our 7th gens. that would kinda suck for my sake...lol, but ah no. the custom parts taht are being engineered for me are going to be opened up for the public to buy by my request. the shop wanted to strictly make it a custom job so i have the only components ever made but i asked if they would keep the casts etc etc so people can buy them if they so choose. anyone that is interrested let me know and ill give more info as it comes.
