Question Internals

Whats up fellas. I havent been on the site or done a whole lot with my 2001 Civic Ex in awhile so I'm not sure what exactly is out there as far as parts and what people are doing. And now that I am back into the game. Does anyone know what manufacturers or companies are producing aftermarket pistons and rods for the D17 ex motor? (I believe the ex motor is a D17a or a2). I am hoping that CP is making pistons but arent sure about that. Make sure to post what the ABSOLUTE best there is out or in the process. Thanks for your input! I'm also looking for a block if anyone knows of anyone trying to get rid of theirs. Thanks.

everything is out or can be found for our motors, excpet cams... thats the exception.. pistons, rods, block gaurds (can be made to fit), valves, springs, retainers, everythings out, just gotta dish out the money, and look for it... 210... you should just sell me those rods anyways.. doesnt seem like youre gonna use em..

i know it sounds like a good idea but i want them for the future. i just need 2600 bucks to get the block sleeved and the rods and pistons put back in and the motor reinstalled after its built. and they wouldnt be cheap, they would be exactly what i paid for them including shipping if i wanted to get rid of them, i also have a spare turbo sitting in the garage T3/T04E, that anyone can gave, brand new still got the tag on it, there is a picture of it in my ride section.

if i wanted to just run 10psi daily, all i would need would be lower compression gasket, pistons and rods right? i wouldnt need to get all hardcore and sleeve the block and all that would i?

Thats right.....10psi isnt that exstensive. If you were going to run somewhere along the lines of 15-20 daily, then I would recommend sleeves and by then you're looking at getting some ARP headstuds. But yes you should be fine. I am trying to figure out which company has the best prices on the Crower Rods...

actually i think ur wrong.. if your running 15-20psi ... i dont think it can be done... for one reason .. the BLOCK.. your gonna blow it up, blow a hole right threw it.. second the axels arent gonna take over 300hp imo

so i really dont think 15-20psi is even a possibilty

call them directly, if u go through all kinds of people to get them it will take long time, and give them the info off the rod tag in my ride section, it has the part number and all the measurements.

15-20psi IS more than possible. If you sleeve your block, aftermarket rods, pistons, and headstuds....Yes...15-20 is very possible. Without sleeving your block and buying aftermarket pistons and rods COULD result in throwing a rod(s) through the block. Your cylinders may not handle the tension. Now....NOT sleeving your block and NOT getting aftermarket pistons and rods and running 15-20 psi, I would almost bet you would throw a rod and blow your block. 15-20psi is definatly do-able, you just need to know what you're doing.

You're looking at 400-950$ depending on who you go through to sleeve your block. And if its across the country.....then you have shipping. Plus money for the Pistons, Rods, Headstuds....and if you want someone to install them if you dont know how to do it or know anyone. So yeah.....you could be looking at around 3g's if you build it right with quality internals. And it wouldnt be smart to put just anything in your motor, you want to go all out. I want to know if anyone else offers pistons other than JE.
