Up to 11 psi Daily

Thanks to the new prototype alcohol/water injection that we made and installed today, i am successfully running 11 psi on the stock internals, without engine management, without upgraded coils, and without ANY signs of detonation.

It feels great at 11 psi. I ran it all the way through 4th gear, and didnt hear/feel any detonation. Usually if there is any, it will be at about 5500 RPM in 3rd and about 4000 in 4th, but there was none at all.

feels like a 13 second ride

Just thought you guys would like to hear that.

If I were you Catalyst I would find a friend with a Snap-On scanner. That way you know for sure about the knock.

99% sure they do. Also if you can, while you are checking for knock you can lean out our engine until it shows knock. Then tune a little rich of that.

yea, we are making the fuel kit adjustable so people can fine tune it to their needs. But that is still in the testing phase.

Our cars have a knock sensor. It's right above the oil filter, bolted on to the engine.

i dont really know. on 5 psi with stock exhaust i was paying down 166 whp.

At 11 psi, i could only guestimate about 215-230 whp.

I talked to Mike yesterday and he said hopefully my kit goes out on Monday(said he was waitin on BOV's from TurboXS) but I talked to him a week prior and told him I was definitely interested in the alcohol injection kit and wanted to purchase one as soon as it was available. Let me know .Thanks

Well, we are making a new version that will work better.

I am not sure when it will be released, but it will be soon. Im just making sure everything works great before we release it.

Detonation feels like the car kinda jumps a little, and it sounds like static from the engine bay. If you are mechanically inclined and have a little imagination, it sounds like the piston rings jumping up and down and the pistons hitting against the cylinder wall.

I'd like to see what your turbo car puts down at 11 psi on the dyno as well as AF ratios. Nice job btw.

What are the specs of your T3 turbo? trim, turbine and exhaust?

I like my car......

13.6 1/4 mile @ 101.887 MPH on 9 psi.

I turned it up to 11 psi to run it, but they kicked me off before i could run, because they said i was too fast, and i needed a helmet.

Haa - that kicks @ss! I went to the track tonight for my first time. 17's all the way for me. I can ONLY IMAGINE what 13's must be like (17's were quite an adrenaline rush!).
