What do you guys think of this? - HKS S-AFR now with prices and links
Linky
It's only $314.95 and according to that site..."Very similar to the A’PEXi S-AFC in tuning capabilities. The difference is that the HKS unit is MUCH better." Seems to be a nice product. I am looking to run an atmospheric blowoff valve so according to that write up, it can modify the fuel map to accomodate atmospheric blowoff valves, eliminating the chance of my engine stalling. You think I should run with this system? The price seems right. Thanks

I THINK <-- key word... that running an atmospheric blow off valve doesn't effect non-factory FI vehicles. I hang around a bunch of other turbo forums and the only people I've heard complaining about any of that was from DSM owners. I dunno though. Doesn't the S-AFC accomidate the same. And you can get the S-AFC for $289 from Tornactive.com before discount.
EDIT: Whoops... didn't check the link... I thought that this was a generic brand. Didn't know it was HKS and didn't see the comparison.

Lol, yeah, it has 6 more points in the idling range (600-2000 rpms) to smooth out the idle. I know it is the same or better than the AFC. I will be calling the company tomorrow.

BTW- According to the HKS site, it lists for $289.99. Through an autorized HKS dealer it can be found cheaper than the $314.99 cost on that site I linked before.

I looked into a lot of the product. I am buying it for sure. It is the only system with a built in CPU. It LEARNS your stock fuel maps and allows you to tune it from there. Also has some other nice things. I'll let you know how it goes.

Good luck... I read through the manual too, it looks like a very nice product. If the e-Manage starts screwing up, I'm thinking of switching over to that. So thanks for bringing it to my attention.

No problem man. Once I get a decent setup going and have it all tuned I'll through some numbers on the web to save people time. I know every setup will be different but a basic idea always helps. Good luck with the E-manage. I was originally going with that but I love HKS products.
