Single, new, JL 12w6v2 woofer for sale $250
I posted this in the for sale forum, but I'd prefer a local pick-up sale if possible so I am also posting it here in the Chicago forum.
I have one JL Audio 12w6v2 woofer to sell. I bought it from an individual, not a store, but I believe it is brand new. It's still in the original JL cardboard box and shows no signs of wires being inserted into the terminal clips and no marks around where the screws or bolts would bolt the speaker into the enclosure.
The guy said he bought it from a local shop that has since closed down. He had 4 of them and planned a monster system in his SUV, but had a child and decided not to blow the money on a big system. I met him locally and picked up one woofer. I paid $250 about a month ago, and I'd like to get back $250 for it. I never mounted it, never played it, never messed with it. My best educated guess is that this woofer is brand new. There is nothing that I can see that would lead me to believe that it has been used or has anything wrong with it.
I'd prefer a local chicagoland pickup, but I can ship it if you want to pay the charges. It'll probably be around $20 shipping due to the heavy weight, double packaging I'd need to use and insurance costs.
I will not go into all the details and specs of this woofer. If you are shopping for a high end woofer, you'll already know the scoop. It works well in slot ported or sealed enclosures and needs big, healthy power. Most people recommend 500w rms for one woofer. See www.jlaudio.com
PM me if interested.

Yeah it sucks, I know.. I paid $250 for it and didn't use it one bit. Stinks to lose money, but I guess thats what happens when you make impulse buys. Wish I could have sold it to you, but I didn't want to cancel all those people who had already bid.
On the bright side, the winner has a whole lot of positive feedback, so I'll probably have no problems getting paid for it. MANY times, you get shmucks who play games, will not pay, can't follow directions ect.. Worst part about ebay is the shitty buyers, but I shouldn't have to deal with it this time (thankfully). Too bad you didn't catch me like 2 days earlier.. it would have been yours.

thats ok, when i found out you sold it, i went to Abt Electronics where i work and got a full JL Setup. 2 12' W7's with the new JL 5005JL 2 channel Amp with a custom trunk setup. I had them cut out two 12' holes and drop the subs in there and made a smallholder for the amp in the middle. It looks pretty nice, ALL i have to do now is just get the Valentine One that my gf got me hardwired to the G35 and the car is done!

Whoa... Sounds like you got a wack design??
A 500/5 is a 5 channel amp to power a whole system, with a mild subwoofer. The sub channel only gets 250w RMS which is not enough for a single w7, unless your about an 8" and even then it might be a little short.
I HOPE that you just typed the wrong amplifier model on accident.. With only 250w power, you basically wasted a shitton of money on W7's. A single 12w3v2 would have been a better matchup to the power output of the sub channel on that amp.
I'd love to see it some day. I don't mean to dog the system, but basically what I'm telling you is that the installers didn't push you in the right direction. They sold you a totally mismatched system (so mismatched, it's almost hard to believe!) To get your moneys worth from those subs, you need a lot of power.. ATLEAST!!! a 500/1 on each sub or a 1000/1 for the pair. Feeding each with a 1000/1 is also a very common solution for the big w7's.
Give me a call sometime, I'd like to see yours, and I'll show you what I've done as well.
