sups guys i live around woodfield maybe 10 minutes from it what shops would you recommend i used to go to 0ne6 but that shop is just not working for me so can someone recommend a good shop with decent prices and really good work

one 6 installed a short ram for me and now the check engine light is on and they wont fix it

haha they are douchebags. i talked to someone on the phone and they were jerks so i never went there. make sure the intake sensor is plugged into the intake and not hanging then disconnect the batery and the light will go away.

go to Factory 5 off of Morse Ave. and Wise Rd. in Schaumburg, they do good work, nice guys, and by far the cheapest labor rates.

SCA on Higgins Rd. doesnt have a garage. they guy that owns the place is really nice, but they over charge on EVERYTHING. i'm really suprised this shop is still around.

theres also a newer shop called Top Setup as mentioned, but i've never went there. the owner has a 5th gen hatch with a k20A swap tho.

lol, no... dont ever go to ****ing apg. apg is the biggest bunch of rip off tools in the world, they ****ed ME over HARDCORE on my swap. there was a topic on them on chitown racing.com that was over 15 pages long with over 1000 replies about how shitty they are

ya dont, i wish the thread on chitownracing.com was still up. they totally ****ed me over on my swap, even had the cops there. long story short, my buddy pat has a turbo b16 show si, ****ing pimp car, at every HIN every year. anyway, as i said long story short, he got the car back after they put in a new b16 since he blew his, noticed the motor was totally burning oil, like crazy, black smoke, took it home, took the car apart, STOCK block STOCK rods / cam, when he paid for EAGLE RODS/CAM ETC.

Nice eh? Stole his parts, charged him over 9k in labor and ****ed up his car.

Fantastic bunch of people, and if you REALLY know APG like i know APG, they moved locations, from wooddale behind the tracks to down the street to a shop 1/4 the size they had....why? caus they have no business and rip people off.

i would be pissed. something similar happened to me at the local dealer here but instead of stealing they just ruined all my parts, left the oil low, left the plugs loose, and put the ground wire in the radiator fan.

Nope, he's in the process of a law suit. Man its to bad the fu<king post was deleted on chitown, it was so long and APG's Arnold even came as far as registering on the forums to talk ****. It was actually rather funny to see a shop talked the way they talked. I never really gave you guys the story, its long and well a pain to type, but I'll explain at the next meet. Long story short on my end, the motor they put in was ****ed up, still runs wrong, idles really ****ed up, when I pulled away they said bring it back tomorrow we dont have the room tonight, the next day they told me it would be another 800 to fix.... ummm lol? Exactly. And my buddy, still in court. How would they would have reacted if his stock internals blew with his high boost, i mean come on...how can you get away with that.

And whats so ****ed up about that, is that he WORKED at APG before, helping them out, and tagged up his car with APG stickers and whatnot because he thought they where his friends. And he found out the hard way they are scam artists.

Oh, and they managed to **** up my exhaust while swapping my motor, which now rattles fantasticly. Not like it matters since my car is in the shop right now even more ****ed up.

I think its time I stop the car moding thing and grow up.....sigh...

Man and i wanted to get my swap there. I use to go there a lot unitll i realized how bad theyre ripping me off. I went there to get just the fronts of my hayame installed and they still charged me about 200. They didnt even have an alignment so i couldn't get it aligned and ended up going home like 20 miles away doing like 30mph on the highway just to be safe.
Then i had to come back a few days later because it was uneven and f***** up, so i had to drive back n forth w/ an unaligned car again!
