Anyone work in the install dept. at Abt, Circuit City, or Best Buy?
What's up guys,
It's the summer time and I am looking for a new deck for my sedan. I a little apprehensive about getting work done on my car... so I was wondering if anyone works at a chicago-land area Abt, Circuit City, or Best Buy doing installs. Anyone? I don't care about discouts, money is the last thing I worry about when it comes to my car... so no I'm not out for a discount. I just want the job done right
.
If any of you guys work at any of those commercial places or any other audio place doing installs, let me know.
Thanks in advance.

How hard is the removal of the dash stuff?
I remember in another car I had, the install guy installed my **** crooked. Yes, like the dash was on a slant and the lines didnt line up.
His friend then told me... lmao (now after years of being on the boards and knowing more car stuff)... that the lines could never be perfect. I told those fnckers to place the dash in the RIGHT way. The lines of the deck were slanted and not all parallel with lines on the dash of the car, making the sob deck looked slanted... Ever since then, I've been worried. But now it's time I get a new deck.
Abt doesn't sell Pioneer car audio stuff, no? There website doesn't at least.

Dash removal is pretty easy. Just have to pop out the small lower console where the cigarette lighter is. Then unscrew two bolts and push the whole upper console "climate control" dash out. The just unclip all of the plugs and you can slide your old deck out along with the little spring loaded drawer (after unscrewing it of course).

I'll help if you want it. I do install for people on the side all the time. I worked at absolute sound in Mchenry for three years doing installs. Let me know. Thanks.
Get the crutchfield iso kit. You get to keep the little door on the bottom. I got the iso kit from best buy because I work at the north ave best buy and i lost my door. Crutchfield will even send you all the instructions to their kits.

Heck, even I can do it for you and I have a head unit I can sell you. I did the install on my 04 EX coupe when I had that. I have a Panasonic head unit for sale. $100 for that. $25 to install. Something like that. Or my friend owns Mobile Soundwerx here in Wheeling and he could do it. E-mail me if you want. shanfaber@yahoo.com
