Im in on July 11th and leaving 14th.

Where's the good night life in Austin?

Austin is the live music capital of the world and 6th street is the heart of it all. Head for 6th street which is downtown and you'll find the nightlife.

You can go out on 6th street any day of the week and there is a guaranteed 5,000 or so people there. 6th street is the **** in Austin. Tons of shops, clubs, bars, and people just walking around (most if not all are drunk)

Check out the drag during the day, and 6th at night.
Check out barton springs during the day when it is really hot.

How long is the drive to Houston? I keep hearing about sweet national parks on the outskirts of Austin...any worth the drive?

It's about 3 hours to Houston. No National Parks close by, just state and city parks. Pedernales State park is real nice, but it's about an hour away.

^hehe. round rock express always has games going on... they are generally pretty good games and it is about 25 minutes north of you. the dell diamond is a really nice field, too.
