A Few Pics From Laps For Charity Here are a few pics from the LFC at the Texas Motor Speedway, May 14, 2005. It was pretty cool! With I had had a chance to stay for the whole thing. Me and "GoSteveRacerGo" showed up early and left early. We both had other things to do that evening.
The later it got the cooler the cars that showed got! A Scion xB club showed up out there. Funny how every time I see a REALLY cool one the driver is old enough to be my Dad 2 times over. There was a very nice '57 Cherry Red Chevy, lotsa RX-8s (to my surprise), '05 Corvettes the list goes on.
I have to mention several POS jobs there. The worst one was a black and silver Viper. The car, on the outside, was imaculate but, when the guy revved the engine... It popped and cracked like a bowl of Rice Crispies! It was so ragged out. Seems the all the owner knew to do with it was burnouts. Then after seeing the owner it was obvious he'd won the Lottery and moved up from the trailer park. lol
Anyway here are a few pics taken from my car of GoSteveRacerGo and me and my friend acting silly. I'll get GoSteveRacerGo to post the pics he took from his car later.

Last year I was near the back of the pack and cut a the back stretch at around 110 mph. for my last lap around the track. (Granted my engine isn't modded at all.) I was told to hold my speed down by a safety crew member or get booted off the track.
GoSteveRacerGo has an mpeg of me passing him that night from his former Chevy Blazer! (
