License Points System
Well, Texas is finally going to a points based system for our licenses. Here are all the details: DPS Link
Basically, it's 2 points for a moving violation, unless it's less than 10% over the posted speed limit; then no points will be given. 3 points for any moving violation that results in an accident. Points remain on record for 3 years. If you get 6 points within 3 years, you'll be charged $100, then $25 for each point after that.

man I have 3 tickets about to go on my record, one of them is an accident, that is gay, I am not paying any money to the dps, besides I am already having to pay for the 3 tickets, what else does this freaking state want from us. we now have to pay a $30 state traffic fee added to each ticket, now we have to pay if we get points on our driving record, we have to pay court costs for what. This is crap, I wanna complain to someone I just dont know who.

the more points you get, the bigger the "prize"
