Hey guys and gals.....Let me tell you a lil story. Im all excited cause I got $$ to burn and I wanted a kick *** stereo. Long story short, I went to Car Toys, Ultimate Elentronics, and Tweeter. They all did exactly what most of us experience as young consumers. They all assumed I didnt have any money, or that I need no help, as I curiously poked and prodded away at buttoms, subwoofers, and amplifiers. After 45 minutes(mostly me poking and prodding), I got pissed and left. I wrote to the companies, and got no resolution. So I call upon you, my peers to help me boycott these 3 companies. If we can keep ourselves, and people we know from purchasing their products, then we might actually get results. Im tired of being treated like a second class citizen by these people. Please help me and my movement.

yea i see what ur saying and you have a good point, but......big companies like that make so much money and theres always gunna be somone droping a big chung of change there so unfortunatly theres nothing we can do.

We can do alot, if we all do it together, I need all of your help with this guys and girls. No just us, but our friedns and families must stand up for our cause. Everyone I speak with about this all shared my experience. Thats DISCRIMINATION, which is ILLEGAL!!!!!

Iono.. i went to all three while looking for a setup and they were all very helpful. Even took me to the back to show me installs they were doin. They even wrote down their prices and told me to go to other places and compare. If any other place was lower, they would match/beat their competitors price.

gay toys and etc is a waste of your money and time... better equipment for less cash can be found elsewhere

same here, and their prices were fairly competitive, even versus internet retailers.

when did you go? Duing the week, or when it was busy? If it was busy, then I understand - but most of the systems these guys sell are bought by younger people anywho, so it's not like they would do that on purpose.

btw, it helps if you go up to salespeople and ask questions.

I got a generic email from Tweeter.....suprise suprise......

Ultimate has yet to aknoledge anything...

Car Toys gave me a personal telephone call trying to compensate for their down fall. Atleast they aknoledged my existance, Thank God.

Its just ashame it was after-the-fact......Maybe I can give them a second chance.

hate to tell you but most sales rep. do discriminate on who they want to help, esp. the ones that work off commission. I really don't see what the whole fuss is about. This is how society is, even whn i worked in retail i was very selective on who I wanted to help out *shrugs* Just take your business else where, its their loss, right?

it is, but it still isnt right. Ive been in retail for 5 years, and I dont act that way towards my possible customers. I give the smile and b/s with the best to worst of em. I guess I expect too much from a downgraded society.

I understand your point of view, but why didn't you just go up to a salesman and ask for help? Now if they treated you like you're unworthy AFTER you asked for help, that's another story... *shrugs*
